Quality Improvement Programme

•15 days FESTO training

Prof.Chandra Mukherjee and Prof.Vivek R attended 15 day FESTO training from 8th april 2017.

•QIP on “Research Proposals and Statistical Tools Application”

A three day Quality Improvement Programme on “ Research Proposals and Statistical Tools Application ” was conducted at the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, initiated by the office of Centre for Research Project, Christ University, on 28th, 29 h Sept and 1st of Oct, 2016. The QIP aims to provide opportunities to faculty members and research scholars to understand and become aware of the research proposals and initiatives of faculties in different areas of their research arenas. The programme also provided hands-on opportunity to participants to develop knowledge in statistical tool applications in SPSS, LabVIEW & myRIO and the basics of USRP.
The QIP was attended by 19 participants from faculty members of ECE.
The External Observers were
a) Dr. M.N. Sreerangaraju, Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bangalore
Institute of Technology (sessions of Day 1)
b) Dr. Hemanth Kumar A.R, Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bangalore

•QIP on Quality Improvement Program “Teaching, Learning and Evaluation”

A three day Quality Improvement Programme on “Teaching, Learning and Evaluation” was conducted by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, initiated by the Academic Staff College, Christ University, on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of May, 2017.
The QIP aims to provide hands-on exposure and training to faculty members to understand and become familiar with the methodology for planning the engineering subjects course plans, creation of CIA rubrics, use of digital tools to enhance learning and dissemination of subject information , and how to follow the tenets of Bloom’s revised taxonomy in design of the question bank.
The QIP was attended by 17 participants from faculty members of ECE department. Faculty members who made presentations (who had undergone training at Academic Staff College) for the
TLE segments were:
Prof R. Partha – Question Bank based on Blooms Taxonomy
Prof Pradeep Kumar G – Course Plan
Prof Sushanth G – Digital Tools for Learning
Prof Sreekala K – CIA Rubrics

 


 

•One day training on myRIO
 
One day training on  NI LabVIEW-DAQ,MyRIO,ELVIS BOARD was given by Mr. MANIMARAN A from national instruments. working more towards Hardware with the external sensors interfacing will bring more hands on practice and experience using myRIO with different scenarios.
